Calling Illustrators to Create Coloring Contest Pages
Coloring Contest Pages will be used for Betty Danger’s “Oh, for Cute!” Coloring Contest held during Art-A-Whirl® presented by NEMAA
Illustrators and Artists may submit 1 design that represents their vision of the N.E. Minneapolis Art-A-Whirl celebration, neighborhoods, or landmarks. How cool! Betty Danger’s Country Club will choose multiple designs that will be used for Bettys “Oh, for Cute! Coloring Contest” for the duration of Art-A-Whirl Weekend.
The chosen designs will be on display for the masses to interact with and view all weekend long. Chosen coloring sheets will also have a ton of visibility on all of Betty Danger’s social media platforms. Coloring page designs should be appropriate for all ages, not just little humans but full grown ones, too.
Please create and submit a line drawing similar but not limited to a coloring book design you grew up with. Must be line drawings and duplicatable. Please submit a PDF file on bettydangers.com. Designs must fit a standard 8 ½ x 11 copy paper size. Artists are encouraged to include their name and social media handle on the design. Notification of artworks selected for coloring pages will be on May 5. Artists chosen will provide Betty with an image to be photocopied or digitally copied out. Artists are invited to an Artists Opening on Friday, May 17 from 5-8pm during Art-A-Whirl hours. The coloring pages will be used for Betty’s Coloring Contest 2019.

Notification of winners: Monday, May 6, 2019
Acknowledgement of chosen design: during “Art Carnies” Reception and Artists opening on Friday, May 17, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Coloring of the pages will happen: Friday 4/17 – Sunday 4/19, 3:00pm
I understand by submitting to the coloring pages contest my design may be chosen and I won’t win a prize but will gain a lot of visibility. Therefore, Betty Danger Country Club may use my coloring design forever for little kids and full grown kids to color on Betty Danger’s Country Club.
“Art Carnies” Art Show
held during Art-A-Whirl® presented by NEMAA
May 17th – 19th, 2019
Artists may submit up to 3 artworks for the juried show in our Port Cochere Gallery called “Art Carnies” during the NEMAA sponsored Art-A-Whirl® bettydangers.com
Artists are selected from a panel of jurors including Betty herself. Deadline for submission is Sunday, April 28. Please include 3 images with your registration form. Notification of artworks selected will be on May 1st. Artists chosen for the show will handle all their own sales. Artwork drop-off is on Monday, May 13 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. as well as 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. Pick up after Art-A-Whirl is on Sunday, May 20 between 5:00 – 8:00 or by appointment. Artists are invited to an Artists Opening on Friday from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. during Art-A-Whirl hours to facilitate sales. The “Art Carnies” Artist opening will be during the kick-off hours from 5:00-9:00pm Friday, May 17. Artists are encouraged to bring guests and promote the event on social media.

Betty Danger’s Country Club specifically disclaim any liability for the loss, damage, or theft of any artwork exhibited or stored on its premises. Artists are responsible for conducting their own sales, Betty does not take any of the sales. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work from drop-off until the artwork is returned to the artist. Artists should attend the Port Cochere Art-A-Whirl show opening night because it is fun! Betty Danger’s Country Club requires all artists to bring home their artwork at the end of Art-A-Whirl.
